What Is A/B Testing?

A/B testing is the act of running two versions of a webpage (for example, a landing page or a product page) and then measuring how each performs in terms of conversion.

One version is the control and the other version is the variation. Each version is run simultaneously and A/B software (the software is run by the A/B testing company) automatically displays one or the other version to a percentage of users who come along.

A/B software takes the results of your A/B test and generates statistics to determine which version of the test is more successful.

What Is Above The Fold?

Above the fold refers to the area of a website that a visitor can see without having to scroll down the page.

There are certain things that are always above the fold, example the logo of the website or the main heading (often the title of the page), The main navigation (often in the form of either a site map, or in the case of blogs, a list of menu) and the search box.

In the case where there’s a section of the page that “breaks” the flow of the page, like a special offer or a new feature, it is often said to be ‘above the fold’.

What Is Ad Blocking?

Ad blocking is software that allows you to stop ads from appearing on your computer or mobile device. It’s often used on computers, but mobile ad blockers are becoming more common. Ad blocking is different from ad filtering, which allows you to remove certain types of ads.

What Is Ad Space?

Like other types of advertising, ad space is a form of marketing. Ad space is the property on which digital advertising appears. It is a form of media that allows for the promotion of the advertiser’s brand, product, or service.

What is Advertising Network?

Advertising networks, also known as ad networks, enable advertisers to reach millions of web users through their own networks of websites. They negotiate deals with publishers (websites) and advertisers (companies) and serve advertising banners for profit.

The AdSense program is the largest part of Google’s AdWords advertising program. In 2006, Google stopped publishing revenue figures for the AdWords programs,releasing only aggregate information on the success of each program. Google AdSense has been involved in controversies in the past.

What Is Affiliate?

Affiliate is a pre-defined relationship between two parties. The affiliate is a third party who brings a buyer to the merchant’s website by placing links on their own website.

What Is Affiliate Manager?

An affiliate manager is a person who is responsible for managing affiliate programs and affiliates, as well as tracking and maximizing the performance of their affiliates for the company.

This person should have extensive knowledge of the affiliate field as well as of the particular company for which they are working.

An affiliate manager is someone you hire to help you manage the marketing of your products. They help you set up your affiliate program, set up tracking links, set up your tracking software, and can often help you find affiliates markers.

What Is Affiliate Merchant?

Affiliate merchant is a company who is paid a commission for referring potential customers to another business. A company who have product or services to sell can become an affiliate merchant by simply registering with an affiliate merchant program.

What Is ALT Text?

ALT text is a field included in the HTML code of web pages to describe the image. It’s used to describe the image to people who can’t see it, like search engine crawlers and screen readers.

Web crawlers check the ALT text to make sure they understand what is that image about. If they can’t find the ALT text, they assume the image isn’t important and either don’t index it, or mark it as unknown.

What Is Autoresponder?

Autoreponders are automated email marketing tools that allows you to send out pre-written emails to your customers based on specific conditions.

For example, you can set up your autoresponder to send out a welcome email to your customers when they subscribe to your email list, then send them a series of emails about your products or services.

You can also set up an autoresponder to send out a series of emails to previous customers when you have new product or services launch.

What Is AIDA?

AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. Is a type of business copywriting technique. In this stage the prospect is trying to determine the information that will help him/her make a decision.

The Attention stage is the first stage of the selling process, where the prospect is first exposed to the product or service. Attention stage includes: The prospect’s attention is drawn to the advertisement. The prospect’s attention is drawn to the product.

The Interest stage is where the prospect becomes interested in the product or service. Interest stage includes: The prospect is interested in the product or service. The prospect is interested in the advertised product or service.

The Desire stage is at which the prospect begins to desire and wants to buy the product or service. Desire stage includes: The prospect wants the product or service. The prospect sees the product or service as a solution to a problem or need.

The action stage is driven by the prospect taking action as a result of the desire stage. Action stage includes: The prospect might take one or more of several actions such as purchase the product and services.

What Is Anchor Text?

Anchor text is the text that you used when you created your backlinks. This is the text that you see in the blue box. The one that you click on. In most cases, this is the text of your website URL. But not always.

What Is Account Based Marketing?

Account-Based Marketing is a relatively new and effective way of working with clients. Rather than approaching every potential customer as a single sale, you focus on a specific, targeted account list where you can secure a lucrative deal.

ABM also known as a modern, data-driven approach to marketing that focuses on the specific accounts that are most likely to purchase your products and services.

What is B2B?

B2B stands for business-to-business, and is a marketing term used to describe one business selling products or services to another business.  B2B marketing is also often called industrial marketing. LinkedIn would be a best social media platform for B2B

What Is B2C?

B2C is a marketing term that stands for “Business to Consumer”, and it refers to the business/brand that is selling a product to the customer.

It is a term that is very often used in the e-commerce industry, as the vast majority of e-commerce companies in the world are B2C companies.

The reason that most e-commerce companies are B2C companies is that technology is relatively new and expensive. As a result, it is easier and more effective to create a business-to-consumer business model, as opposed to a business-to-business model.

What Is Bandwidth?

The term bandwidth refers to the amount of data that is transferred through a network or a device in a given time.

As an example, the bandwidth in a cable connection refers to the amount of data that can be transmitted over the network. Bandwidth is measured in bits or bytes per second.(1 bit/s = 0.125 bps, 1 kbit/s = 125 bps, 1 Mbps = 125000 bps).

This means that for each second, a certain amount of data can be transferred through a network.

A banner ad is a specific type of display ad, which is often rectangular in shape, but may be of any size. Digital banner ad is a banner ad that is placed on a digital media. It is a type of online advertising that delivers promotional message.

Usually it is a graphical ad that is placed at the top or bottom of a web page

The online banner ad is usually in a rectangular shape. The banner ad has become a common sight on the Internet and in emails. It consists of text, image, animation and videos. Banner ads are delivered through a network of online advertising companies called ad networks.

Banner exchange is an advertising program where you can trade banner ad space on your web pages for banner space on other web pages.

It is a form of advertising where you can place your banner on other websites, this way you have a wider reach and your advertisement reaches more people than it would be able to do on your own website.

If a potential customer sees your banner on other websites and likes what your website offers they are more likely to click on it and visit your website.

What Is Blog?

A blog is an online journal which is usually written by an individual with opinions.There are many different types of blogs, some people use it to write about their personal lives, others use it to write about the news or other topics.

There are of course many different types of blog software, the two most popular are WordPress and Blogger. My self are using WordPress for Calvyn.com

What Is Bounce Rate?

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits to a site. It measures the rate of user sessions that are one page view only. A common way to measure how engaging a website is.

Bounce rate is a great indicator of how well your website is converting visitors, and also a great indicator of whether the content is relevant to your visitors. If a visitor lands on your site and quickly leaves, there is a good chance they were not interested in your content.

A good solution is to set up a Google Analytics goal that tracks the time spent on the page. If a visitor leaves your page in under a minute, it is a good indicator they were not interested in your content.

What Is Browser?

A web browser is a computer program used for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.

The most common web browser is Google Chrome. Some others suchs Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Opera Mini, Brave brower and firefox.

What Is Burstable Bandwidth

Burstable bandwidth allows you to use the full bandwidth of your plan while staying within the data transfer amount in your monthly limit.

It will allow you to be flexible with your bandwidth usage and able to use the full bandwidth of your plan when you need it, then automatically scales back it down when you no longer needed.

What Is Customer Acquisition Cost?

The Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) is the cost of acquiring a new customer. It is one of the most important metrics in business and is therefore widely used by marketers. It is used to determine the profitability of a company’s marketing strategies. Customer acquisition cost is the cost, in terms of money and effort, to bring a new customer to your business.

It includes the cost of advertising, the cost of sales promotions, and the cost of any other marketing expenses incurred to attract new customers. Customer acquisition cost (CAC) is also known as customer lifetime value (CLV) in the software industry.

What Is Caching?

Caching is a process where a web browser stores either the entire page of a website or a part of the page for viewing in the future. The browser stores the web page as a temporary file. This action helps to improve the performance of the website.

Cached page can be viewed in future without Internet connection. Cached page is stored in a temporary folder of the Web browser. You can easily access this folder by using the browser.

 

What is CAN-SPAM?

CAN-SPAM is an acronym for the “Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003”. It sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

The CAN-SPAM Act requires that commercial email give recipients an opt-out method, clearly identified and directly in the body of the email. This opt-out method must also work in a stand-alone format, without requiring recipients to visit a web page.

If you use a third-party data broker to send emails, you have an obligation to ensure that your partners are also in compliance. And if you enter into an agreement to share data with another company, you have an obligation to ensure that company complies with CAN-SPAM.

What Is CASL?

CASL is the abbreviation of Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) which is a set of rules governing commercial electronic message (CEM). In order to let your customers know that you are using an automated software to send commercial emails, you have to include a functioning unsubscribe link in the footer of each message.

You can include instructions in your footer to alert your customers about the automated way of the communication. You can write something like this: This email was sent by a contact form on our website, without manual intervention.

What Is Content Delivery Network?

Content Delivery Network or CDN is a large distributed system of servers deployed in multiple data centers, often in multiple countries, that work together to provide fast delivery of content on the Internet.
