After intro a free hosting Awardspace.com – Free Hosting in my previous post. I would like to share a useful FTP software that i am using currently – FTP Commander, a freeware, there are two type of FTP commander to download.
Due to software legal issue, there are no pirated software allow at my company’s PC. Freeware is the most suitable software to use. To find this software, you may search at download.com or googling the “FTP Commander”. The official website for this software will be Internet-Soft.
This software is preety easy to use, after install, open it, you will see the screen shoot like below, click “New Server”…
Another windowns will will pop up, just key in a Server name, FTP server (normally IP address) on the left column, and fill up your FTP username, password at the right hand column, save it and done. When u want to connect it, double click on the Server Name in the server list that u have save previously.
To host your own website, FTP client is once of the important tools for hosting own website. There are alot of free ftp software out there, if you found FTP commander not suitable and hard to use, u may googling more
